Helen M. Cowand, 93, a native of St. Paul Minnesota, and a resident of New Orleans for all of her adult life, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 11, 2011.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carl C. Cowand of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. Mother of Charles F. Cowand (Patty) and Judith K. Cowand. Grandmother to Brett F. Cowand (Rebecca) and Kristen M. Cowand. Daughter of the late Helen M. Metz and Edmund Metz.
Mrs. Cowand was a devoted teacher at Soulé Business College in New Orleans for over 15 years before retiring in 1982.
Interment will be private in the Cowand Family cemetery in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi.
