Carl C. Cowand, 94, a native of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi and a resident of New Orleans for most of his adult life, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 10, 2008.
Beloved husband of Helen Metz Cowand. Father of Charles F. Cowand (Patty) and Judith K. Cowand. Grandfather of Brett Cowand (Rebecca) and Kristen Cowand. Son of the late Inga Karlson Cowand and Jesse Cowand. He is survived by three of his eight siblings, Elliott, Glen and Hubert Cowand. Mr. Cowand was involved in the insurance industry in the New Orleans area for many years. His passion in life was fishing and hunting with his son and grandson.
Interment will be private in the Cowand family cemetery in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi.
