Funeral services were held Wednesday morning from Saulters Funeral Home Chapel for T. C. Bass, 63, of Prentiss who died suddenly Monday afternoon as he was being carried to the Jefferson Davis County Hospital. Rev. Bob Sheffield, Rev. Guy Gray and Rev. L. C. Anthony officiated and interment followed in the Bethany Cemetery with Saulters Funeral Home in charge. Nephews served as pallbearers.
Mr. Bass was a lifelong resident of Prentiss. He was a member of the Prentiss Baptist Church. For a number of years he was custodian of the Jefferson Davis County Court House and in recent years had sold peanuts.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lela Deen Bass of Prentiss; two sons, Billy Bass, Jimmy Bass, both of Prentiss; two daughters, Mrs. John Skeen of Ellisville; Mrs. Carol Wiggington of Prentiss; nine grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Eddie Lee Holloway of Natchez.
