Husband of Elizabeth Mable Walker Bass
Funeral services were held from Bethany Church at 10 A.M. Thursday for Estus Bass, age 71, who passed away Wednesday at the home of his son, Sam Bass, of Sumrall, after a lengthy illness. Rev. Walker of Sumrall and Rev. Miller of Picayune officiated at the last rites. Interment was made in the church cemetery with Aultman-Saulters Funeral Home in charge. Pall bearers were Eddie Lee Holloway, Reece Polk, Hance Polk, Clifton Wilkes, Lee Jackson and Goodwin Bass.
Immediate survivors are the following children: Sam Bass and Walter Bass, Sumrall; Lawrence Bass, Texas; Stanley and Curtis Bass and Mrs. Vardaman Polk, Prentiss; and Mrs. Jimmie Sorrells, Louisiana; three sisters, Mrs. Ora Myers, Mrs. Ollie Barlow and Mrs. Bama Loflin; two brothers, Bobbie Bass and Bruce Bass.
