Mrs. Ruthie Polk, 56, Dies After Several Months' Illness
Funeral services for Mrs. Ruthie Polk, 56, wife of Willie V. Polk were held from the Good Hope Baptist Church September 21,1944, with the Rev. Luther Parrish, Pastor of the church, assisted by the Rev. O. O. Davis of Improve, officiating.
Burial was in the Good Hope Cemetery.
Mrs. Polk died September 19 at Dalys' hospital following several months of illness.
Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Stanfield Polk and six daughters, Mrs. H. Q. Lillis, Mrs. J. M. Bass, Mrs. Elmer Prueitt, Mrs. Theadore Broom, Mary Polk and Marrine Polk all of Good Hope Community.
Other survivors include thirteen grandchildren
