Son of Clyde and Lizzie Polk
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007, at 11 a.m. in Hathorn Funeral Home Chapel for Dusty Carroll Polk, age 54, of Monticello, who died on Sept. 14, 2007.
Interment was at Good Hope Cemetery, Ministers Dan Carr and Doug Barber officiated at the service. Visitation was held Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007 from 2 to 10 p.m. at Hathorn Funeral Home.
A native of Marion County, he was a construction warehouse manger.
He was preceded in death by parents, Cylde and Lizzie Polk; brothers, Howard Earl-Polk and James K. Polk, and sisters Joan Sandspree and Shirley Arinder.
Survivors include his brothers Clyde Polk, Jr. of Tampa, Fla., Kenneth Joe Polk of Gulfport, Jessie Polk of Sumrall, Charles W. Polk of Columbia and Jerry Wayne Polk of Gulfport; sisters Barbara Dement of Lumberton, Clara Comeaux of De Iberville, Mickey Dawn Carr of Gulfport and Angie Bowman of Columbia and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers include Wayne Breakfield, Mike Cooper, Larry Fortenberry, Doug Duncan, Larry Smith, Rickey Sykes, James Ray Cliburn and Scott Pittman .
Hathorn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements
