Funeral services were held Sunday, November 22, at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Colonial Funeral Home for Mrs. Lois C. Tagert, 99, of Columbia, who died November 20, at the Grove Health Care Facility. Interment was in the Good Hope Cemetery. Rev. Denny Patterson and Rev. John Watts officiated at the service. Visitation was held Saturday, November 21, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home. A native of Marion County, she was a homemaker and a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Tagert; four sons, Gayle Tagert, Dexter Tagert, Earnest Tagert, and Ralph Tagert; and a daughter, Linda Trott; and 15 brothers and sisters. She was survived by three daughters, Joyce Patrick, Dora Gingell, and Flora Rutland, all of Columbia; four sons, Jesse Tagert, Glenn Tagert, and Lonnie Tagert all of Columbia and Claude Tagert of Foxworth; 33 grandchildren and many Great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and family. Pallbearers were Wyatt Simmons, Lavon Graham, Jeremy Rutland, and Damon Broome. Colonial Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
