Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Gates Road Baptist Church for Robert Earl Broom, 65, of Columbia, who died Nov. 24, 2007, at his residence.
Burial will be in Gates Road Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Broom was retired, a member of Gates Road Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Eula Broom and a son, Robert 'Robby' Broom.
Survivors include four daughters, Debra Spradling, Terri McKenzie, Mary Barnes and Rebecca Harrell; three brothers, Jimmy D. Broom, Charles E. Broom and Don E. Broom; three sisters, Mildred Lena Broom Bounds, Georgia Nell Broom Robbins and Bonnie Jean Broom Maxwell; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-10 p.m. today at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia.
