Wife of William R Gillaspy
Funeral services were held Tuesday morning from Bethany Baptist Church for Mrs. Kay Myers Gillaspy, 18, of Prentiss, who died Saturday night at University Hospital in Jackson from injuries sustained in an auto accident a few hours earlier in Jackson. Rev. Charles Gordon, Rev. Harry Cameron, and Rev. L. C. Anthony officiated and interment followed in the Bethany Cemetery with Saulters Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Ken Henderson, Bill Henderson, Don King, John Edward Myers, Kelly Patterson, and Burick Osthimier.
Mrs. Gillaspy was a native of the Prentiss area where she attended the Prentiss Public School. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, William (Bill) Gillaspy, an eight week old son, Eric Scott Gillaspy; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Reggie Myers of Prentiss; one sister, Mrs. Ellis Douglas of Prentiss; one brother, Harold Myers of Prentiss, her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Lena Henderson of Prentiss.
