Funeral Services for Sylvia Gloria Hursey Walker, age 83, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Thursday, August 24, 2017, will be held Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at 3:00 pm at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 29, 2017 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at McDonald Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Pearlington Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Rev. Allen Hickman will officiate the service.
A native of Pearlington, MS, she was a Homemaker and a member of the Baptist Faith. Sylvia was a loving mother, grandma, great grandma, sister, and friend, who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Abner Hursey, Sr. and Alberta Jones Hursey; and her husband, Simon Edwin "Pete" Walker.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Byron (Debra) Walker, Glenn (Cindy) Walker, and Mickey (Leila) Walker; 8 grandchildren, Michelle (Bryan) Buckley, Susan (Jamie) Varnado, Glenn (Dawn) Walker, Amanda Walker, Matthew (Emily) Walker, Jennifer Walker, Lauren Walker, and Sarah Walker; 7 great grandchildren, Madison Smith, Mackenzie and Brooks Buckley, Taylor Thames, Ashley Walker, Andre Walker, and Lucas Walker; her brother, William "Bill" Hursey; and her sister, Delores Lindley.
