January 30, 1955 - January 23, 2016
Carmen Marie Calix Starita, age 60, of Waveland, MS joined her Lord on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Gulfport Memorial Hospital.
She was born in New Orleans, LA to Jesus Calix and Frances (Lewis) Necaise and was one of seven siblings. Carmen was dearly loved by so many. She was a kind, giving person who always put others before herself. She was a Godly woman who never lost her faith even when bombarded by tragedy. She was also a loving mother and wife.
Carmen was preceded in death by her beloved children, Cecile "Ceci" Frances Bilbo and Sean Patrick Finegan; her parents; step-father, Raymond Necaise; and two brothers, William & Wesley Calix.
Survived by her husband, Benjamin "Benny" Starita of Waveland, MS; step-children, Shannon Starita of Waveland, MS, Shelly Hill of Ocean Springs, MS, and Vance Starita of Gulfport, MS; brother, Richard Calix of Palestine, TX; three sisters, Mary Calix Ramirez of San Antonio, TX; Norma Calix Ladner and her husband, Richard of Kiln, MS; Victoria Calix Quintini of Bay St. Louis, MS; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, twelve nieces & nephews and many great nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 30, 2016 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis, MS with a Prayer Service to follow at 1:00 pm. Interment will be in Gulf Coast Memorial Cemetery & Mausoleum also in Bay St. Louis. Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis, MS is in charge of the arrangements.
