Selma Richardson Carver, 79, died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 1998, in Pass Christian.
Mrs. Carver was a native of New Orleans. She was a member of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Bay St. Louis, was a former Lions Club member, and was a member of Bay St. Louis Senior Citizens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry S. Carver; her parents, Edward B. and Madeline Roehm Richardson; and three brothers, Edward B. Richardson Jr., Alfred J. Richardson and Joseph Richardson.
Survivors include a son, Sidney Joseph Carver; two daughters, Gloria ''Meyers'' Strong and Juanita ''Meyers'' Giveans, all of Bay St. Louis; two brothers, Carl Richardson of Marrero, La., and Manuel Richardson of Dennison, Texas; two sisters, Edna Farve of Bay St. Louis and Rose Bamera of Toms River, N.J.; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis. A Mass will follow at 3 p.m. at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery in Bay St. Louis.
