Lucette M Worrel, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, passed away peacefully in her Diamondhead home January 18, 2018 at the age of 92. She was the daughter of the late James and Rosa Melton of New Orleans. Lucette was a long time resident of Bay St Louis, MS and more recently of Diamondhead, MS. Lucette is preceded in death by her husband , Ronald Worrel and her youngest daughter, Lisa . She is survived by 5 children: Charlene Sincere of New Orleans, LA, Lucette (Tom) Laird of Diamondhead, MS, Stephen (Connie) of Hattiesburg, MS, Thomas (Bobbie) of Waveland, MS, and David (Debbie) of Biloxi, MS. 18 Grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. Lucette was a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, the Hancock County Republican Women's club and the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW. She held the title of MS Senior Mississippi in 1998 and proudly represented Mississippi in the national contest. Lucette received a paralegal degree in 1991 at the age of 66. Her greatest enjoyment was holiday gatherings with her large family. Lucette donated her body to LSU medical school to aid in medical studies and research. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr Marion Wainwright and her staff, Saad Home Health and Hospice services, Nursing Management and especially MS Mesha Coleman, for the excellent care and love given to Lucette. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 17th at 1 PM at Most Holy Trinity Catholic church. Immediately following the service, family and friends are invited to the home of Michael and Sherry Funk 23425 Stablewood Circle, Pass Christian, MS. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Lucette's favorite charity, St Jude Children's hospital. Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis is in charge of arrangements.
