Julia Ann Caruso, Born December 8th, 1928 in Fitzgerald Georgia. Julia Ann went home to be with the Lord February 5th, 2017.

She is proceeded in Death by her loving husband, Luke Joseph Caruso, Her parents, Royce Clayton Williams and Marteil Paulk Williams. Her parental grandparents, Wiley Williams and Julia Paulk Williams, Her maternal grandparents, Jacob "Whitehead" Paulk and Leecy Jane Branch Paulk.

She is survived by her children, daughters Nancy (Sal) and Margaret, son Royce (Lynn), and her sister Leecy Jane Williams Duncan of Columbus Georgia.

She leaves behind loving grandchildren, Joseph, John and Jamie, Stephan, Kyle, Mark and Bethany, Luke Jarred and Jacob. She also has eight great grandchildren.

Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that were just like family. She also leaves behind her many faithful care takers who have been a blessing that allowed her to remain at her earthly home until she was called home to be with her Savior.

Julia Ann lived a special and rewarding childhood in Fitzgerald. She graduated from Fitzgerald High in 1946. She attended Valdosta State College, and later the University of Georgia, where she received a Masters in education. While at Georgia, Julia Ann was a member of Delta, Delta, Delta Sorority, and was voted outstanding pledge. She taught English in GA for several years, then moved to teach in the Hancock county school system from 1959 to 1966. She was a strict but positive influence on the many students that she had the privilege of teaching. When her Dad passed, she left the teaching profession with Luke to take over the family business, Stuckey's Pecan Shoppe. But, she really never stopped teaching. She continued to touch the lives of the many employees that were part of the Stuckey family. Many people in this area remember Julia Ann from the Stuckey store, where she was always there, happy to see you and full of life. She was a mentor and positive influence enhancing many people's lives.

Julia Ann and Luke were instrumental in raising the funds to establish Our Lady's Academy. Julia Ann was a long time member of the Krewe of Nereids, the Red Hat Society, and her beloved Magnolia sisters. Also, she was the founder of the 100 women's lunch club.

Visitation will be from 10-11 am followed by a service on Thursday February 9th 2017, at First Baptist Church 141 Main Street, Bay St Louis, Mississippi. Interment to follow at Gulf Coast Memorial Cemetery and Mausoleum at Longfellow and Hwy 90 in Bay St Louis, Mississippi 39520.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hancock County Food Pantry 9972 Highway 603, Bay St Louis, Mississippi. 39520, First Baptist Church,141 Main Street, Bay St Louis, Mississippi 39520, or Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church 228 South Beach Blvd, Bay St Louis, Mississippi. 39520.

Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis, MS is in charge of the arrangements.
