James N. Willemet Jr., 72, of Diamondhead, died Thursday, April 10, 1997, in Hattiesburg.
Mr. Willemet was a native of New Orleans and a longtime resident of Diamondhead where he was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church. He was a member of National Electrical Contractors Association, member of Square and Compass Lodge 417, Kenner, and Past Master member of Diamondhead Mens Golf Club. He was a former chairman for Bridge House and Krewe of Mid City, and a veteran of World War II serving in the U. S. Navy.
He was the father of the late George W. and Robert A. Willement.
Survivors include his wife, Merle B. Willemet of Diamondhead; sons, James N. Willemet III of New Orleans and Stephen S. Willement of Slidell; and step-sons Marcus Dale Buckley, Romald Keith Buckley and Paul Dean Buckley, all of Jackson; an aunt, Ora Natal of West Palm Beach, Fla. and four grandchildren.
Visitation was Saturday evening at Riemann Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis. Funeral services with Masonic Rites will be conducted today at 2:30 ;p.m. at Riemann Funeral Home chapel, Bay St. Louis. Burial will be in Gulf Coast Cemetery and Mausoleum in Bay St. Louis.
