Services for Burnetta M. Moore will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. Joseph Briscoe officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 7 tonight at the funeral home.
Mrs. Moore died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at River Region Medical Center. She was 60.
She retired from Vicksburg Convalescent Home after 30 years in social services. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her father, Andrew Gibson Jr.; a son, Frank Allen; four brothers, Andrew Gibson III, Leonard Washington, L.C. White and Sammy Lee White; and a sister, Shirley Ann Washington.
She is survived by her husband, Lucius Moore; a son, Andrew Allen of Aurora, Ill.; four daughters, Nancy Stelivan, Ronita Ferguson, Robin Allen and Zabrina Allen, all of Vicksburg; her mother, Irene Washington of Greenville; one brother, Leon Gibson of Greenville; four sisters, Ida Mae King, Carrie Hunt and Coran Cleveland, all of Greenville, and Ella Marie Postway of Memphis; 21 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
