Armond Martin Jr., 72, of the Henleyfield Community, died Monday, Sept. 21, 1998, in Picayune.
Mr. Martin was a native of Leonville, La. He was a lift pump operator for Plaquemines Parish Government and was a member of First Baptist Church of Henleyfield.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine Martin of Henleyfield; a son, Armond Martin III of Savannah, Ga.; two stepsons, George Sanders and Billy Sanders, both of Heidelberg; three daughters, Belinda Ford of Henleyfield, Angelia Malbrough of Avondale, La., and Marietta Martin of Bridge City, La.; three stepdaughters, Barbara Tackitt of Pontotoc, Rita Warren of Bell Chase, La., and Betty Hoover of Quitman; a brother, Leonace Martin of Texas; two sisters, Armace Gro of Fordoche, La., and Josephine Reeves of Gonzales, La.; two half-sisters, Evelyn Williams of Texas and Monteal Black of La.; 19 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 tonight until service time at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Henleyfield, with burial in Henleyfield Cemetery. Picayune Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
