April 10, 1964 - January 2, 2015
Taye Templeton Taylor passed away Friday, Jan. 2, 2015, surrounded by family and loved ones.
She was born April 6, 1964, in Vicksburg, where she grew up, but was currently residing in Destin Fla.
She graduated from Warren Central High School in 1982 and attended Hinds Junior College. She loved the beach, fishing, her friends and family, and mostly life. Her spirit was contagious and she was always there for her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Tena Templeton Matthews; her father, Thomas Templeton; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
She is survived by her fiancé, Steve Harris; her mother and stepfather, Shirley and Glenn Smith of St. Joseph, La.; one sister, Tamie Templeton McCaffrey (Alton) of Denham Springs, La.; two step-brothers, Larry Smith (Vicki) of Orlando, Fla., and David Smith (Dana) of Vicksburg; Tammy Smith Rutherford of Vicksburg; brother-in-law, Bubba Matthews; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at Glenwood Funeral Home Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015 at 11 a.m. with Ken Tew officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m., and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the service.
Pallbearers will be Trey Little, Bobby Templeton, Brad Templeton, Mark Smith, Randy Thorne, and Ronnie Satterfield.
