Evelyn Kay Williams Jackson died Nov. 26, 2016, at Promise Hospital. She was 73.
Mrs. Jackson was a member of Travelers Rest Baptist Church where she served on the Wellness Ministry. She retired as a nurse from River Region Health System. She also was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 213.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Willie Mae Harris Williams Durrell; stepfather, Elmer Durrell Sr.; father, James Williams; son, James Allen Williams; maternal grandparents, George and Evelyn Harris; and uncle, George Harris Jr.
Survivors include her children, Terry Williams and Angela Jackson, both of Vicksburg; sister, Patricia Durrell (Elijah) Hunt of Vicksburg; brothers, Elmer Durrell Jr. and George (Sherry) Durrell, both of Vicksburg; granddaughter, Latoya Williams of Phoenix, Arizona; grandson, Alandrian Williams of Phoenix, Arizona; one great-grandson, Dallas Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, at Travelers Rest Baptist Church with the Rev. Thomas E. Bernard officiating.
Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, Dec. 2, 2016, from 1 to 7 p.m. with family present from 6 to 7 p.m.
