Homer Odell Alford, 38, of the Darbun community, died Sept. 10, 1995, at Methodist Hospital in Columbia of injuries sustained in a tractor accident.
Visitation is 3–9 tonight at Capps Funeral Home of Tylertown, continuing at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Salem Baptist Church until services there at 10:30 a.m.... Burial will be in Boyd Cemetery in the Salem community [Walthall Co.].
Mr. Alford was born Jan. 16, 1957, in Walthall County. He was the son of Travis Alford and Mary Louis McKenzie Alford of the Salem community
He was a poultry farmer and a member of Salem Baptist Church.
Along with his parents, he is survived by his wife, Joan Brown Alford of Darbun; one son, Jamie Alford of Darbun; two daughters, Jessica Alford and Savannah Alford, both of Darbun; his grandmother, Inez McKenzie of Tylertown; one brother, Troy Alford of McComb; two sisters, Linda Ingram and Sue Alford, both of the Salem community; three uncles and their spouses, Cartee and Nancy McKenzie of Greene, LA., Dan and Joan Alford of Darbun and Hulon and Peggy Alford of Jayess; two aunts, Mary Thornhill of Tylertown and Ann Ladner and her husband, Joe, of Dexter, 10 nieces, six nephews, one great-niece, one great-nephew and a host of cousins.
