Her many friends and family were sadly shocked at the sudden passing Sunday evening, of Mrs. Annie Knight, 63, at her home at 417 Pearl Street following a heart attack.
Mrs. Knight was a native of Covington County, having been born there on March 29, 1884, the daughter of Henry and Julia Everett Ramshur.
Until about a year ago Mrs. Knight had resided at Good Hope, at that moving to Columbia. She was a member of the Good Hope Baptist Church.
Last rites were conducted from the Good Hope Church at two-thirty on December second with Dr. Mark Lowry officiating in the service.
Interment was in the Good Hope cemetery with Walden's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Acting as pallbearers were Johnnie Robertson, Hardy Ramshur, Percy Lee Ramshur, Joe Ramshur, and Pierce Ramshur.
Surviving are her husband, Sam Knight, two daughters, Mrs. Mamie Lee Rogers and Julia Ann Speights; three sons, Warner, Bob, and Wiley Knight three sisters, Mrs. Dovey Kelly, Mrs. Della Robertson and Mrs. Susie Williams; two brothers Bud and John Ramshur, and sixteen grandchildren.
