Although her marker gives birth date of 1889, her obituary states she was age 76. On her 1917 passport application she gives her birth date as Oct. 29, 1885. This is also the date that appears on her LA Birth Record.
Mrs. Katherine Erwin Jordy, 82, of Bay St. Louis died Sunday, Jan 7, 1990, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Jordy was a retired insurance agent and was born in Arcadia, La. She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church in Bay St. Louis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Graham E. Jordy.
Survivors include a brother, John Alton Erwin of Bay St. Louis; a niece, Mrs. Barbara Ann Stubbs of Beaumont, Texas; and a nephew, Joe B. Burrows Jr. of Bay St. Louis.
Services were conducted Tuesday at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis. Burial was in Cedar Rest Cemetery in Bay St. Louis.
