Husband of Sue Speights Robbins

A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at the Emmanuel Cemetery for Mr. Tommy R. Robbins, 68, of Columbia, who died Tuesday, March 6 in Columbia. Pastors Ed Steele and Doug Barber officiated at the service. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7 at Hathorn Funeral Home.
A native of Marion County, he was a manager-estimator having worked for more than 50 years in the construction industry and a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rodney and Elma Anderson Robbins and sister, Barbara Robbins Phillips.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Sue Speights Robbins of Columbia; three daughters, Debbie Ramshur (Keith) of Columbia, Cindy Pearson (Frank) of Columbia and Kristi Johnson (Mike) of Columbia; grandchildren, Brandon Ramshur (Naomi), Kade Ramshur, Christopher Pearson, Eli Johnson and Reese Johnson; aunt, Laura Bass of Columbia and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Brandon Ramshur, Shannon Phillips, Charles Speed, Steve Fairley, Tim Fairley, Trever Speights and Kevin Smith. Honorary pallbearers were Evan Cleland, Porter Edwards, Tommy McKenzie, Jim Bryan, Lawrence Holiday, and Lenard (Slim) Tate.
