Husband of Betty Rutland Parker
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Gates Road Baptist Church for John E. "Johnny" Parker, 68, of Columbia, who died Oct. 30, 2007, at Marion General Hospital.
Burial will be in the Gates Road Cemetery.
Mr. Parker was a retired salesman, served in the U.S. Navy, and was a member of Gates Road Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Rutland Parker of Columbia; two daughters, Carla Douglas and Michelle McNeese, both of Columbia; a son, Lane Parker of Columbia; his mother, Cordelia Parker of Columbia; a brother, Harlon Parker of Columbia; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be after 3 p.m. today at Mr. Parker's residence.
