Services for Kenneth W. Ham, of Jayess, are 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 16, at New Bethel Jesus Name Church in Tylertown with burial in the church cemetery. Bro. Gary Robinson, Bro. Larry Reed and Bro. James Carney will officiate. Hartman-Sharkey Funeral Home in McComb is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 9 p.m. and Friday 9 until 11 a.m. at the church.
Mr. Ham, 59, died Oct. 13, 2009, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He was born in Walthall County on June 7, 1950, to Emory Ham Sr. and Donis Etheridge Ham.
He was retired owner of Little "H" Construction. He was a very active member of New Bethel Jesus Name Church. He was head usher, was a church trustee and also taught Sunday school. Mr. Ham also coached the church "B" team softball team. He was a member of Citizens Bank board of directors. He was a man who enjoyed life, his church, his family and his friends and was honored as "V.P" of the "Brister's Store Club."
Preceding him in death were his father; and a brother, Billy Earl Ham.
Survivors are his mother, Donis Etheridge Ham, of Jayess; his wife, Marlene Roberts Ham, of Jayess; his sons, Britt Ham and wife, Julee, of Columbia, and Darrin Ham and wife, Robin, of Jayess; a daughter, Bridgette Mann and husband, Shay, of St. Louis, Mo.; a brother, Emory Ham Jr. and wife, Sue, of Jayess; his sisters, Shirley Lambert and husband, Bobby, and Linda Bennett and husband, Darrell, all of Jayess; his seven grandchildren, Marla Ham, Adam Ham, Madelyn Ham, Breleigh Ham, Blair Mann, Lana Ham and Dailyn Ham; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers are Steve Ham, Scott Battle, Ken Bourn, Delwin Wilson, Neil Burnette, Joel Lollar Jr., Myron Wallace, Bradley Beard, Lil Albert Cook and Lance McCloud.
Honorary pallbearers are the employees of Little "H" Construction.
