John Henry "Buddy" Hines, 66, died Monday, April 7, 2003, at his home. He is survived by his wife, Earline Lester Hines of Hammond; four sons, Richard Joseph Hines of Atlanta, Byron Keith Hines of Denham Springs and Kenneth Wayne Hines and Harold Joseph Hines, both of Hammond; two sisters, Mary Ruth Popwell of Dexter, Miss., and Pat Henley of Baton Rouge; four brothers, Doyle Hines and James Newton Ingram, both of Bogalusa, William Terrell Ingram of Folsom and Harlan Wilson Ingram of Hammond; nine grand-children and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Hines and Annie Drummond Hines Ingram; one daughter, Lorraine Marie Hines; one son, Darrell Hines; three sisters, Leatt Crockett, Suzie Lobell and Adrian Hilton; and three brothers, Willie Dale Hines, Jewel Hines and Walter Hines Jr. Burial at Hines Cemetery in Tylertown, Miss.
