October 14, 1928 - August 7, 2016
Bernard Jude Piazza, 87, of Bay St. Louis, MS passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2016 in Biloxi, MS. He was a lifetime resident of Bay St. Louis, a member of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church, a Veteran of the U.S. Army having served between W.W. II and Korea, member of the American Legion Post #139 and the VFW Post #3253 in Bay St. Louis. He was a wonderful and loving father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend to many and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Roberta Helen Piazza, son, Alan H. Piazza, parents, Pasquale & Mabel Piazza, and 2 brothers, Emile and Clifton Piazza.
He is survived by his loving children, 2 sons, Bernard "Bernie" Piazza, Jr. of Bay St. Louis, George Piazza & wife, Glynnis of Kiln, MS; 6 daughters and son-in-laws, Karen Piazza & Francis Hadley of Carencro, LA, Tina P. Dumal & Lott Hall of Gulfport, MS, Laura P. Griffith of Bay St. Louis, MS, Mary Helen P. Neal and her husband Carl of Bay St. Louis, MS, Gina P. Dyess & Steve of Prentiss, MS, Lisa P. Miller & Mark of Gulfport, MS, brother, Albert A. Piazza & wife, Dana of Bay St. Louis, MS, sister, Thelma P. Niolet of Long Beach, MS; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
The visitation is Friday, August 12, 2016, from 11:30 am until 1:00 pm at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Bay St. Louis, MS. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow in Gulf Coast Memorial Cemetery in Bay St. Louis, MS.
In Lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church or St. Stanislaus College Prep School.
Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis is in charge of the arrangements.
