Funeral services for Rosie Lee James will be Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016, at the Faith Christian Center at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. Ollie Hardaway officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Friday, Dec. 16, 2016, at funeral home from 5 to 6 p.m.
Rosie Lee James passed away Wednesday, Dec. 14, at Promise Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was 53.
She had worked for the Mississippi Action for Progress (MAP) as a teacher’s assistant and as a crew leader for McDonald’s.
She was a member of the Faith Christian Center, where she also served as a finance officer and was on the single ministry program.
She was preceded in death by her father, Henry McGee, and her mother, Sadie Lee James.
She is survived by her three brothers, Roosevelt James of Knoxville, Tenn., Robert James and Larry James, both of Vicksburg; her two sisters, Shirley Walker and Ernestine Newton, both of Vicksburg, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
