1876-Sept 4,1938
John H. Willis, 62 year old farmer of Good Hope community passed away at the home of his son, Dan D. Willis, Sunday, September 4th. Funeral services were held at the Good Hope Church September 6th with Rev. Moran Crawley officiating. Interment was at Good Hope cemetery.
The deceased was born in Georgia but had lived in Mississippi for many years. He was a member of the Good Hope church. Surviving are his wife, three sons, Dan D. Willis, John T. Willis of Jesup, Georgia, Hancele Willis of New Orleans; three daughters, Mrs. H. C. McMullen and Mrs. H. C. Weaver of Sanford, Florida, and Mrs. I. C. Cranford, Jesup, Georgia
five grandchildren also survive.
