Emile Richard Oneto Sr., 85, of Bay St. Louis, died Saturday, Feb 6, 1999, in Bay St. Louis.
Mr. Oneto was born in Pensacola, Fla., and was a resident of New Orleans for 60 years prior to making his home in Bay St. Louis in 1987.
He was a retired lieutenant of the New Orleans Police Department, a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and the Police Mutual Benevolent Association.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Madere Oneto; a grandson, Deverne Roy Hulbert Jr., sisters Catherine Phillips, Coris Godman and Lillian Wilson; brothers Joseph M. Jr. And Wilmver V Oneto; and his parents, Catherine Ciulla Oneto and Joseph M. Oneto Sr.
Survivors include a son, Emile R. Oneto Jr. of Lafayete, La; daughters Eloise F. Kindja of Diamondhead and Elaine M. Oneto of Bay St. Louis; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Private funeral services will be conducted at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis with interment at Gulf Coast Memorial Cemetery and Mausoleum in Bay ST. Louis.
