Funeral services were held at 10.am. Saturday ,Oct.21 at Conlonial
Funeral Home Chapel for J.D. Allen 85,of Columbia Health and Rehab Center .Interment was in the Carson Springs Cemetery. He was a heavy
equipment operator and of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include; one son, Donald Allen of Franklinton, La; two daughters, Barbara Branch of Columbia and Virginia Branch of the Dexter Community; one sister, Susie Lott McSwain of Bogalusa, La.
12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren .
Visistation was held after 2;30 p.m.Thursday,Oct.19 at Colonial Funeral Home.
Colonial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11 at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel for Effie P. Allen, 86, of Columbia. Mrs. Allen died Friday, Dec. 10 at Marion County General Hospital. Interment was in the Carson Springs Cemetery. She was a housewife and of the Missionary Baptist Faith.
Survivors include; her husband, J. D. Allen of Columbia; one son Donald Allen of Hattiesburg; two daughters, Virginia Branch of the Dexter community and Barbara Branch of Columbia of Columbia; two sisters, Estelle Darr of Sandy Hook and Ruth Walsh of Biloxi; 11 grand-children, 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Friday 2:30- 8 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home .
Colonial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
